We are looking for a skilled BI developer to be responsible for the development and administration of BI tools and who can transform raw data into meaningful insights via interactive and user-friendly dashboards.
This remote working role is part of a team of Data Analysts and engineers driving high-profile strategic and operational initiatives as well as business insights, reporting, data solutions and making recommendations for short and long-term decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Engage with various stakeholders both technical and non-technical
Preparation of data for standard reporting
Build reports/dashboards in Power BI /Tableau /Excel
Own the Power BI/Tableau site administration and governance
Build, maintain and optimise data sources
Improve data source and dashboard performance by utilising the latest developments in data toolsets
Set business requirements for BI tools
Provide technical support and training for BI reports, dashboards, and tools to end users
Liaise with data warehouse on data requirements from business
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability and keeping data up to date.
Identify opportunities to improve business performance using data.
Your experience:
Active SC Clearance
Strong previous experience within BI Development
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (including VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables).
Proficient in the use of SQL and programming languages (such as Python)
Advanced knowledge of Tableau/Power BI
Ability to understand multi-level data and turn complex concepts and business questions into actions
Self-driven problem solver with a logical approach
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
Previous Central Government experience is desirable
