DDAT Product Manager - Finance

Job Description

DDAT Product Manager required for the product vision, strategy and roadmap of a Cloud based Enterprise Resource Planning system. 

The Product owner is responsible for the quality of the complex product service. You will be expected to use your knowledge of user needs and business goals to frame problems and set priorities for your delivery teams. You will be responsible for the ongoing effectiveness and optimisation of the their product(s) in addressing the business requirements, user needs and translating into product deliverables to achieve customer satisfaction.

Your role:

  • Input to the product vision, strategy and roadmap.

  • Ensuring compliance (Service Policy and standards) for their area of responsibility

  • Promote the uptake, use and continual improvement of the product

  • Establishes roadmap items relating to SaaS, PaaS and IaaS changes e.g. evergreening

  • Works closely with the product owner(s) and process owners to ensure that business requirements and priorities are reflected in the product and service roadmap and backlog

  • Own the requirements for the product within the service

  • Evaluate and impact assess change requests and their impact on the service (technology and Service Function)

  • Define/agree key processes and solution decisions to ensure optimisation of the Service and maintain solution integrity (security, architecture, commercial)

  • Support options analysis to enable the optimum balance of business and service requirements, opportunities and constraints

  • Provide the wider DDaT perspective on the service, demonstrating and advanced understanding of design, technology, data, and assisted digital principles

  • Coach and lead teams in Agile and Lean practices

  • Engage with and comply with service governance especially relating to change

  • Achieve timely signoff of key product related decisions by the Service

  • Manage the development, aggregation and prioritisation of business requirements including user experience requirements

  • Own the overall product change backlog and it’s scheduling 

  • Actively engage with the evaluation, impact assessment and release cycle for service releases

  • Resolve prioritisation issues and manage arising conflicts to ensure timely delivery of change

  • Participate in user and functionality and integrated applications testing, defect management and defect resolution processes

  • Experience of working supporting Finance systems as a Product Manager would be an advantage.

  • Experience of working within constraints. 

  • Financial ownership. 

  • Life-cycle perspective. 

  • Operational management. 

  • Problem, product and strategic ownership. 

  • User focus

  • Experience of engaging and collaborating with external Suppliers in service delivery

  • Experience of working supporting Finance systems as a Product Manager would be an advantage.
