Technical Architect

Job Description

Technical architect required with demonstrable application architecture experience such as defining logical and physical architectures and capturing and defining dependencies.

You will support the definition and implementation of a detailed architecture roadmap:

  • Defining a RESTful FHIR API architecture, the model must ensure extensibility for future requirements and maintain integrity throughout its lifecycle

  • Defining the approach to transition from SHA1 to SHA256 

  • Defining and implementing a future digital strategy that works across multiple items as a whole and individually

  • Notifications via the App

  • Defining an approach to remediating technical debt in the interfaces 

  • Support for the programme team in discovery activities to document the as-is technical/architecture landscape and articulate the user needs

  • Identifying, documenting and evaluating key architecture decisions within the wider Digital governance framework

  • Ensuring alignment to the Architecture principles

  • Defining an architecture roadmap that manages dependencies between different initiatives

  • Support the programme team in creating a business case for delivery phases of the programme.

  • Provide architecture guidance and leadership across multiple directorates impacted by the programme (Platforms, Product & Data)


Required Skills:

  • Technical architect with demonstrable application architecture experience such as defining logical and physical architectures and capturing and defining dependencies

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Management of suppliers and assurance of their solutions

  • Evidence of identifying and documenting functional and non-functional requirements for a particular project


Advantageous:

  • Knowledge of PKI, digital signing, cryptography and associated hardware

  • Knowledge of and experience of using architecture frameworks such as TOGAF

  • Knowledge of core government healthcare technologies
