Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine digital content that meets GDS standards and best practices.
- Work closely with User Researchers, Service Designers, and Interaction Designers to ensure content is user-focused and informed by research.
- Simplify complex information, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all users.
- Create and maintain content guidelines, ensuring consistency across multiple services.
- Test and iterate content based on user feedback and data insights.
- Present content recommendations to stakeholders and advocate for user-centred design principles.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility and inclusion guidelines to support diverse user needs.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Content Designer in a central government setting.
- Strong understanding of GDS Content Design principles and Service Standards.
- Ability to create clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams within large transformation programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Familiarity with user research techniques and applying insights to content decisions.
