Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype user-friendly, accessible digital services that align with GDS principles and transformation goals.
- Work closely with User Researchers, Service Designers, Content Designers, and Product Teams to create and refine interaction patterns.
- Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Utilize evidence-based insights from user research to improve service usability and accessibility.
- Advocate for best practices in interaction design, ensuring compliance with GDS Service Standards.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and analytics.
- Present design concepts and findings to stakeholders, contributing to design reviews and critiques.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Interaction Designer in a central government setting.
- Strong knowledge of GDS Service Standards and interaction design principles.
- Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Axure.
- Ability to create accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly digital services.
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams on large transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of usability testing and user research methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
