We are seeking an experienced Interaction Designer for a Central Government project to consolidate multiple services into a streamlined, user-friendly experience. You'll need a strong understanding of GDS standards and be able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prototype user-friendly, accessible digital services that align with GDS principles and transformation goals.
  • Work closely with User Researchers, Service Designers, Content Designers, and Product Teams to create and refine interaction patterns.
  • Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Utilize evidence-based insights from user research to improve service usability and accessibility.
  • Advocate for best practices in interaction design, ensuring compliance with GDS Service Standards.
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and analytics.
  • Present design concepts and findings to stakeholders, contributing to design reviews and critiques.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Interaction Designer in a central government setting.
  • Strong knowledge of GDS Service Standards and interaction design principles.
  • Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Axure.
  • Ability to create accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly digital services.
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams on large transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of usability testing and user research methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
