Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end services in alignment with GDS principles and transformation objectives.
- Collaborate with User Researchers, Content Designers, Interaction Designers, and Product Teams to iterate and refine services based on user needs.
- Map existing service journeys, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Define service blueprints, user flows, and process improvements to enhance the overall user experience.
- Ensure services are inclusive and accessible, fully adhering to GDS accessibility standards.
- Engage with stakeholders, presenting research findings and service recommendations to key teams.
- Contribute to a broader UCD strategy, ensuring consistency across multiple services.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Service Designer in a central government setting.
- Strong expertise in GDS Service Standards and Government Digital Service (GDS) design principles.
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams within large transformation programmes.
- Ability to create user journeys, service blueprints, wireframes, and service prototypes.
- Deep understanding of accessibility and inclusivity best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
