This is not a “stay in one lane” BA demand — you’ll move where the work is, support multiple teams, and navigate shifting priorities with ease. You’ll play a key role in analysing, shaping, and iterating live digital services, ensuring they continue to meet user needs, operational goals, and GDS Service Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business processes, user journeys, data flows, and service performance across Live Services.
- Pivot fluidly between multiple concurrent services based on delivery priorities.
- Support multidisciplinary teams (product, design, research, engineering) to deliver continuous service improvements.
- Produce high-quality documentation: as-is/to-be processes, requirements, acceptance criteria, impact assessments, and options analysis.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to surface issues, align stakeholders, and clarify dependencies.
- Ensure services remain aligned with user needs, business objectives, and GDS Service Standards.
- Translate complex operational or service challenges into actionable requirements.
- Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support backlog refinement, prioritisation, and Agile delivery planning.
- Provide analytical insight to guide problem-solving and service optimisation activities.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience working across multiple concurrent digital services and switching context effectively.
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst within central government.
- Deep understanding of GDS standards, Agile delivery, and iterative development in Live.
- Ability to thrive in high-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Proven ability to deliver clear, structured BA artefacts under time pressure.
- Excellent communication, with strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical groups.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to clarify complex service issues.
