This is an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful public sector services, helping to design clear, accessible and user-centred content in line with GDS standards, within an Agile delivery team.
Remote, Inside IR35 role with occasional travel to Newcastle (once per month).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver clear, concise and accessible content aligned to GDS standards
- Work collaboratively within Agile, multidisciplinary teams including product managers, designers and developers
- Create and iterate content based on user research insights and analytics
- Ensure content meets accessibility and usability standards (WCAG)
- Contribute to content strategy, tone of voice and end-to-end service journeys
- Review and improve existing content across services
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Content Designer within government or regulated environments
- Strong working knowledge of GDS service standards and style guidelines
- Ability to write plain English content for complex services
- Experience working in Agile environments and ceremonies
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
