Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Leadership & Planning:
- Own delivery outcomes for assigned workstreams, from discovery through build, test, and release.
- Establish delivery plans, milestones, and RAID controls; keep scope, timelines, and risks transparent to stakeholders.
Agile Ways of Working:
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, reviews, retros) and continuously improve team flow, throughput, and predictability.
- Coach Product Owners, BAs, and Engineers in Scrum/Kanban practices; remove blockers and optimise WIP.
Backlog, Scope & Quality:
- Partner with Product and BA to shape, refine, and prioritise backlogs; ensure clear acceptance criteria and Definition of Done.
- Uphold delivery quality by aligning squads to engineering and API standards (OpenAPI/REST, endpoint design) and non-functional requirements.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement:
- Engage client stakeholders, architects, and tech leads to maintain alignment and unblock decisions quickly.
- Communicate complex delivery topics clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record as an Agile Delivery Manager (government or large scale enterprise preferred).
- Strong delivery governance: planning, RAID, dependency management, metrics driven reporting.
- Hands on experience running Scrum and/or Kanban teams, improving flow and lead time.
- Confidence coordinating API focused delivery (OpenAPI/REST, endpoint design) with architects/tech leads.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams.
- Tools: JIRA, Confluence (or equivalents).
