The role will focus on ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of data solutions, managing risks and dependencies, and driving Agile best practice across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive end-to-end delivery of CRS/FATCA data workstreams across engineering and QA teams
- Manage delivery plans, milestones and sprint outcomes in line with programme objectives
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, scrum-of-scrums)
- Ensure alignment between Data Engineers, QA engineers and wider stakeholders
- Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs and proactively mitigate delivery risks
- Engage with stakeholders to capture, refine and prioritise requirements
- Ensure delivery adheres to governance, security and quality standards
- Track and report on delivery progress, risks and performance to programme leadership
- Support release planning, production deployments and post-release “warranty” activities
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, tooling and team performance
- Ensure appropriate resource allocation and capacity planning across the team
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to team members
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager (or Scrum Master / Programme Delivery Lead) in enterprise environments
- Strong experience delivering data or ETL-focused programmes (Talend/Oracle environments preferred)
- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience managing RAID logs and delivery governance processes
- Experience working in public sector or regulated environments
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, DevOps)
- Experience with delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong understanding of the full delivery lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy)
- Active SC clearance
Desirable / Optional Skills:
- Experience working in similar government programmes
- Familiarity with CRS/FATCA or financial compliance domains
- Understanding of ETL/data integration platforms (e.g. Talend)
- Experience managing offshore or distributed teams
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab)
- Exposure to performance testing and data platform scaling challenges
