We're looking for a Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a core platform that underpins an audit pipeline and self-service data platform. This role blends cloud infrastructure, automation, reliability engineering, and developer experience, with a strong emphasis on “platform as a product”.

You will work closely with software and data engineers, acting as an enabler—providing paved paths, tooling, and guardrails so teams can safely and efficiently deliver value.

On a typical day, you will:
  • Design, provision, and evolve cloud infrastructure supporting the audit pipeline and data platform
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code for all platform components
  • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines enabling safe, frequent deployments
  • Create and maintain shared platform services, templates, and tooling for self-service use
  • Embed security, compliance, and data protection by default
  • Improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Implement and maintain observability (logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting)
  • Support live services, including troubleshooting and incident response
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to understand needs and reduce friction
  • Produce clear technical documentation and platform guidance

Platform Engineering Focus Areas:
  • Cloud platform ownership (AWS)
  • Infrastructure automation and standardisation
  • Developer enablement and self-service
  • Operational excellence (monitoring, alerting, incident management)
  • Reliability and resilience (high availability, fault tolerance, recovery)
  • Secure-by-default platform design

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Strong experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (networking, compute, storage, IAM)
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong Linux/Unix knowledge
  • Experience operating and supporting production systems
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
  • Experience working in agile, product-oriented teams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Essential Technologies:
  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • Linux/Unix
  • CI/CD tooling
  • Monitoring and alerting systems
  • Agile / Lean delivery practices
