Responsibilities:
The day to day work is varied and ticket based, including but not limited to:
- Consultancy, security reviews for tools and services
- PoCing new tools or open-source alternatives to AWS native services
- Creating, improving and maintaining security tools and services PlatSec provide to the platform
- Delivering the Support function in the team which consists of providing advice to queries raised by other platform and service teams
- Running the morning stand-up, monitoring emails, the Slack channels and answering any queries addressed to PlatSec.

Technical Skills:
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker and Python is essential.
- Experience with AWS core security tooling, such as Guard Duty, Security Hub, Config, Service Control Policies, etc
- Writing, testing, troubleshooting and refactoring code in an object oriented programming language. Python preferred, Golang helpful
- Building, managing and maintaining infrastructure in a public cloud.
- Implementing and supporting continuous integration (CI) and delivery/deployment (CD) pipelines.
- Using infrastructure-as-code to declaratively deploy and reconfigure infrastructure and application resources.
