Inside IR35 remote role, with occasional travel to Newcastle (maybe once a month)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design user journeys, interaction flows and service patterns aligned to GDS standards
- Work within Agile, multidisciplinary teams alongside researchers, content designers, developers and product managers
- Create wireframes, prototypes and design artefacts to communicate interaction patterns
- Use user research and analytics to inform and iterate designs
- Ensure services meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles
- Contribute to design systems and reusable interaction patterns across services
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Interaction Designer within government or regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of GDS service standards, design principles and GOV.UK patterns
- Experience designing end-to-end digital services and transactional journeys
- Strong prototyping skills (e.g. Figma, Axure, Sketch or similar tools)
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
