This role requires strong experience in ETL testing, cloud-based data pipelines, Oracle RDS, and AWS, combined with a solid understanding of ISTQB principles, system testing, and test automation.
You will be responsible for:
ETL & Data Pipeline Testing:
- Validate end-to-end ETL processes including data extraction, transformation logic, and loading accuracy.
- Perform data integrity checks, schema validation, and data reconciliation activities.
- Conduct database testing using Oracle RDS, writing and executing complex SQL queries.
- Test data pipelines deployed on AWS services, ensuring performance, stability and resilience.
- Create detailed test conditions, test cases, and test scripts for system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Ensure alignment with project requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Validate system behaviour across multiple environments and interfaces.
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests where appropriate.
- Log detailed defects with clear reproduction steps and technical findings.
- Participate in defect triage, root-cause analysis and retesting of fixes.
- Work collaboratively with development and data engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong experience with ETL testing and data validation.
- Proficiency with SQL for data interrogation and validation against Oracle RDS.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services used in data pipelines.
- Understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
- Experience with system, functional, and integration testing.
- ISTQB Foundation (or above).
