Delivery Manager

Job Description

Experienced Delivery Manager required for a Central Government department. 

Your role:

  • Project management, understanding all requirements, delivery planning and managing stakeholders

  • Adhere to all Digital internal processes and reporting (including financial control) relating to the project. Provide information and updates to the project lead, as required and maintain financial records of all expenditure incurred or anticipated.

  • Develop and maintain a schedule for delivery of the project.

  • Identify and manage all risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies. Escalate matters if required to ensure the project plan is not adversely impacted.

  • Understand and follow the approvals processes to ensure the project can enter its next phase.

  • Chair all required project boards, working groups, etc. to enable success of the project.

  • Undertake stakeholder management, including third party suppliers which may require chairing meetings and attending various other meetings. Engage with the Sponsor and customers to ensure they are up to date and appropriately informed to make decisions where necessary.

  • Write and staff any business cases to achieve a successful rollout.



You'll need: 

  • Standard Project Manager skills/experience, with Network Background

  • Network knowledge

  • Tech understanding

  • Defence experience desirable
