Digital Developer

Job Description

Digital Developer required for a Central Government department with hybrid working. 

Your role:

  • Conduct Interface/Workflow Development in an existing Application using built-in tools, including working with stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are fully met. Determining in conjunction with the Service Provider where their involvement might be required and ensuring that changes are correctly integrated within the overall system architecture and act as the project manager.

  • Extend/replace the existing workflow, involving the creation of Custom Form Layouts and data manipulation predominately using SQL with some HTML and Javascript.

  • Undertake regular upgrades to the database, ensuring that the established processes are correctly followed by all parties.

  • Develop stakeholder user workshop interfaces, working with users to establish their Business need.

  • Liaise with the project team on the programme of works to develop enhanced functionality.

  • Generate system outputs in support of a wide range of requirements using underlying SQL coding.

  • Undertake system testing of new functionality.

  • Generate plans for User Acceptance Testing and ensure that users fully understand what is required to ensure a comprehensive end-to-end test.

  • Liaise with the Cyber Security Technical Lead to carry out investigation and analysis of system faults 

  • Provide technical advice to the Business at meetings, forums, conferences, etc. as necessary.

  • Provide upskilling to Incident Analysts around Power BI use and analysis.



Minimum Requirement:

  • SQL (MS-SQL Server)

  • HTML 

  • Windows and MS Office tools.

  • Stakeholder communication skills 


Desirable Skills:

  • ASP.Net

  • MoD/Government Experience

  • DBA background

  • Power BI
