Senior Solution Architect required for large Government organisation. Must have deep experience in AWS, Solution Architecture and Stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities:
Develop strong stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with partners to ensure the development of high quality architecture components and design outputs across the business, data, application and technology (infrastructure) domains.
Provide triage support to the programme/BAU business change pipeline through the review of change proposals and the development of architecture impact assessments, options papers or other ad-hoc support as required.
Support development of whole life costs for architecture solution options
Development of tender materials, supplier and product evaluation
Evaluate the impact of options on programme/project resourcing and scheduling
Work with service management to implement appropriate service architectures for solutions prior to go live.
Assure the architecture outputs of peers and partners, challenging and escalating where necessary.
Work across scrum teams to guide, support and ensure solution delivery aligns with the strategic architecture and expected programme/project outcomes and objectives.
Support the definition and refinement of functional and non-functional requirements.
Maintain architecture models and views in the architecture repository.
Contribute to architectural design forums and attend (or chair as required) the Technical Design Authority. Attend project/service boards and BAU service reviews with business stakeholders and incumbent suppliers as required.

Skills / Experience:
At least 5+ years’ experience in a senior solution architecture role
Successful management and delivery of technical solutions across a complex, multi-partner environment
Excellent decision making and critical thinking skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal/coaching skills.
Strong communicator (oral, presentation and written), stakeholder management and collaborative working with partners/suppliers.
Broad Knowledge across architecture domains including agile methods and cloud services.
Practical knowledge of architecture models (TOGAF) and agile/DevOps delivery methods and tooling
Broad/practical knowledge of cloud services, especially AWS, ideally with an AWS qualification e.g. Practitioner or Architect
Experience of the government security requirements and Government Digital standards i.e. Technology Code of Practice / Service Manual.
